Open Model Categories:

The Model division has only one category and is open to women of all ages.

Models are to depict a picture of health to the general public however they must still have some athleticism about themselves. Models are not expected to be lean and defined though they must still have a toned body and good figure. Models are judged on their physical appearance, beauty, body shape and tone, presentation, confidence, cat walk, stage presence and marketability.

Model rules and regulations

Round 1

Round 1 is a self expression, up to 90 seconds routine with music of your choice (CD only), this can be anything from, dance routine, sports theme, occupation theme i.e. nurse or airline hostess, or fitness routine.

Within the 90 second routine you will be judged on your routine as well as, energy level, costume, presentation, strength, entertainment value and general appearance. You may be marked down in your routine for, routines of a sexual or erotic nature, sexual poses or routine elements such as pole dancing.

Round 2

Competitors will do a parade style walk across the stage 4 times and then the competitors will line up at the back of the stage until everyone has finished. Then in one line they will all be asked to move to the front of the stage and back again.

This may occur several times as you’re being judged and the judges may need extra time to make decisions. Also, the ANB contest officials or contest promoter will select the music that you will perform to. Note: No moves of any sexual or erotic nature will be tolerated. A swimming costume must be worn, G-string underwear is not allowed.

Judging

Round 1 (Constitutes 50% of your total score).

You will be judged on all elements of your routine including, costume, presentation, grooming and poise.

Round 2 (Constitutes 50% of your total score).

You will be judged on your displaying a total healthy body image, showing proportion and balance between upper and lower body parts and presentation. Also appearance, poise, walk and posture, charisma, as well as your general impression and confidence.

Music :

You will be asked for your music at the official registration in exchange for your competition number which must be pinned on to your posing attire and be in a visible area at all times. (Please check with your competition promoter for preferred music. Music formats that acceptable are:

  • CD Audio - preferred
  • WAV
  • MP3

Music must be provided on a CD. Please also ensure you bring a backup CD. Duration of music for Model competitors is up to 90 secs to perform your routine. If you choose to do your routine in less than the permitted time this is also fine, however due to time constraints the 90 sec time limit will apply to all Models and the music will be faded out once this time has been exceeded.

It is advisable to test your music and CD on a laptop to avoid any problems with your music during registration.
