What an incredible weekend...... The 2012 ANB Asia Pacific International attracted over 300 World Class athletes from every state in Australia, guests from Korea, USA, New Zealand and Canada.

No doubt It was an incredibly long weekend for both Antonietta and I running on virtually no sleep and adrenalin for the 3 days. From the setup days prior to the massive Natural Bodz Media day photo shoot on the Saturday where we shot over 130 athletes.

It takes many, many months of planning and organizing to host such a huge event however without competitors there would be no event to host so I would like to personally thank all of the amazing competitors that took part, over Physique & Figure day and the Fitness Model day.

We will be posting results, images, and some video footage on this website and our official facebook fan page over the next 2-3 days. A full event report will be featured in the next issue of Australian Natural Bodz at the end of July.

The event may be over for competitors but this is where our job has only just begun as now it’s time to start promoting the athletes that took part in this year’s event through our magazine Natural Bodz. Without a doubt you will be seeing many athletes and models featured on front covers, Star Profiles, and editorials plus our 2013 Sports Model calendar. This is part of our promise to deliver on providing exposure, recognition and opportunities to the athletes.

Team Vegas Selections: All athletes that took part in the event are eligible for the Natural Bodz Team Vegas Selection. This process takes a number of weeks as we have liaise and provide image galleries for the CEO of the Musclemania organization in the US and we also have to wait until ASADA drug testing results are made available to us. Generally the process takes 6-8 weeks where we will then contact the athletes prior to making an official announcement on the website. We are looking at sending a team of 8-10 athletes with half of these receiving full funded return airfares and 7 nights in a 5 star resort and the additional will receive partial funding and assistance with discounted accommodation.

I would like to personally thank our MCs Barry Van Peppen for doing such a great job on the Physique and Figure day and my good friend Obi Obadike for doing such an incredible job as guest MC for the Fitness Model Championships. Obi always adds a great feel and energy to the show and made all the models feel comfortable and at ease on stage. A big thank you to the ANB executive committee, judges and back stage crew for ensuring the event ran on time, smoothly and professionally.
