JUNIORS (Under 22) (Proof required) Only those male bodybuilders who are under 22 years of age on the date of the contest. |
NOVICE MEN A male bodybuilder who has not won in a previous bodybuilding contest. |
OPEN MEN To all male bodybuilders. To be separated into 4 weight divisions: Under 70 kg; under 80 kg; under 90 kg and over 90 kg. |
MASTERS MEN (Over 40) To all male bodybuilders over the age of 40 on the day of the competition. |
OPEN WOMEN To all female bodybuilders. To be separated into 2 weight divisions: Under 52 kg and over 52 kg. |
FIGURE To all female competitors with an athletic body shape. |
MUSIC/NUMBERS Music must be provided on 2 cassette tapes cued on Side A of otherwise blank tapes. Duration of routine music must not exceed
60 seconds. Competitor numbers will be allocated at time of competitors weigh-in. Any divisions with less than 3 competitors might be combined with the next appropriate division. |
DRESS/JEWELLERY During pre-judging male & female bodybuilders are to have no costume jewellery nor other types of jewellery, props or other embellishments (i.e. painting of face etc.) Normal face makeup is accepted. EXCEPTION: Female Figure competitors are to wear high-heel shoes in Rounds 1 & 2 and can wear earrings, rings, hair ties, multi-coloured Bikini Cut posing suits. The judges however must have clear vision of the whole body to enable fair and objective scoring. Dress code for the evening finals can be more flamboyant. |
