Sports Model
A recent group snapshot of an WNSO/ANB Sports Model contest
SPORTS WEAR ROUND 1 (Pre judging)
Wear any type of athletic clothing that best accentuates
your sporting physique. You may
select anything you like, for example beach wear,
aerobic wear, or whatever you feel
comfortable in. You may use props such as as
flags, beach balls, or anything else you feel
will
compliment your sports model image.
Each contestant has sixty seconds (60 sec's)
to demonstrate to the judges their sports image,
style and flair. The choice of music is up to
each competitor and must be prepared on a CD disc
and clearly identified with the contestants name
and starting track number.
SWIMSUIT PARADE ROUND 2 (Final)
Each contestant must wear a swimsuit of either a full style or bikini, the choice is optional, it is important to note that the swimsuit must be of the style that you would actually go swimming in, at the beach. It is compulsory to wear shoes with heels in this round, however jewellery and makeup are optional.
Contestants will be under the direction of the Head Judge and must at all times obey his instructions. You will be asked to walk across the stage several times and then stand erect in a position on stage that the Head Judge will nominate. All contestants will eventually form a straight line where the judges will be able to directly compare each contestant.
SPECIAL NOTE: Round 1 and Round 2 will be required at BOTH the prejudging and finals. This means you will need to do both rounds of competition twice during the competition.
WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR
Its important to understand that this is NOT a bodybuilding, fitness or figure competition, but is a Sports Model competition. The judges will be specifically looking for the following:
Poise: To carry yourself in a state of balance or equilibrium, with dignity and style.
Confidence: To have a feeling of self-assurance and a state of being certain.
Fun: To have enjoyment and pleasure by being on stage.
Energy: Vitality and intensity of expression.
Image: The contestants character projected to the judges
