Hello Members, Supporters and Friends
I finally have the link for the Channel 9 coverage of the ANB Melbourne Titles recently held and was aired on TV on Sunday (and most of us missed!)
It’s fantastic to see that mainstream media is now open to covering these events and that natural bodybuilding is getting the exposure it deserves. I would of liked to have seen less of the stereo type way they mentioned that bodybuilders prepare themselves for competitions but again this is people covering these events that do not understand bodybuilding properly. With that said for those that have experienced a competition and been under the guidance of experienced trainers or just simply live a clean eating healthy fit lifestyle you are the ones that are promoting the sport in a positive way and that is why media like Channel 9 are covering these events.
I am very proud to be part of an amazing federation and amazing group of people I continue to meet every day and look forward to the next season of competitions and what opportunities they bring for everyone.

I would also like to mention a big congratulations to ANB South Coast and
Sydney who had amazing turn out of competitors (Sydney 156 + competitors, South Coast 73)
A big recognition has to go to Olivia Bartlett-Marques who won the Overall Figure for the South Coast Event last week. Some of you would be familiar with Olivia has she had attended a workshop here in Melbourne a couple of months ago and decided to compete in her state after attending a workshop and then went on to win this amazing title after her very first show! Olivia has mentioned to me she has loved the support that ANB has given her and will again be re attending a workshop to continue to improve her figure and get ready for competitions at the end of the year. Again a big pat on the back to you Olivia for being determined, seeking out the support and going for it!

My experience with the ANB federation has been nothing short of memorable right from the beginning. Although I have been training in a gym on and off for a few years it has been with no real purpose or goal. After seeing an advertisement I attended the Get the Edge Workshop with Maria and Lindy Olsen in February 2010; it was here that I was inspired to compete and take my training to a new level of commitment. The workshop provided a thorough outline on what is needed in order to compete from basic nutrition, training and supplementation, right through to posing and grooming in the weeks leading up to the show. I left feeling extremely motivated to start my journey and was filled with the confidence that I could succeed. Lindy and Maria’s passion for the sport is contagious and it spread to me dramatically. I’ve since kept in contact with the both of them and feel an amazing sense of support and
